 Tener buen humor ayuda a vivir una vida más feliz. Cuando estamos de buen humor todo parece mejor, más lindo, más fácil.

Hay muchos factores externos que nos pueden hacer cambiar el humor, pero también una alimentación rica en determinados nutrientes, ayuda a que nuestro cerebro libere sustancias químicas que nos den placer y buen humor

Así como cuando hacemos ejercicios físicos liberamos Endorfinas, conocidas como las hormonas de la felicidad, cuando comemos determinados alimentos ayudamos al organismo a producir sustancias cerebrales que son determinantes en el estado de ánimo, tal es el caso del triptófano, aminoácido que se convierte en serotonina y da la sensación de felicidad.

Estos son los 10 alimentos que nos ayudan aestar de buen humor.

1. Frutillas: son ricas en fibra soluble que ayudan a prolongar la digestión, manteniendo los niveles de azúcar en sangre estables, reduciendo el cambio de humor y la irritabilidad. También las frutillas tienen efecto antiinflamatorio y reducen la posibilidad de padecer alguna enfermedad cardíaca o cáncer.

2.La Leche: Contiene proteína del suero, que mejora el humor, la memoria y reduce la tensión y los sentimientos depresivos

3. Pescados de aguas frías: El salmón, la caballa y las sardinas son ricos en ácidos grasos omega-3,  los estudios realizados establecieron una conexión directa entre los niveles bajos de omega-3 y la depresión. Si no comés pescado podés reemplazarlo por aceite de canola o grageas de Omega 3

4. Espinacas. Son fuente rica de ácido fólico, lo cual evita sentimientos negativos como la depresión. Estudios realizados ligaron una deficiencia del ácido fólico con la depresión. Otros alimentos que contienen ácido folico incluyen las semillas de girasol, las hojas verdes, el brócoli, el germen del trigo, la harina de avena, las lentejas, la soja y la mostaza.

5. Batatas y Papas. Son alimentos ricos en carbohidratos y elevan el nivel del serotonina, la cual estimula directamente el buen humor, además ayuda a mantener limpia la sangre y da energía al cuerpo, reduciendo los riesgos de sufrir  depresión.

6. Nueces de Brasil: Una nuez de Brasil te dá todo el selenio que necesitás para elevar tu humor. Otras fuentes adicionales de selenio son el atún, los cereales integrales y el pez espada.

7. Yogur bajo en grasa: Una buena fuente de proteínas, que ayudan a tener buen humor retrasando la absorción de carbohidratos en la circulación sanguínea. Otras fuentes de proteína son la carne, los huevos y el queso.

8. Cafeína: En cantidades moderadas realza el funcionamiento físico y mental. Pero cuidado que en exceso puede producir taquicardias y cefaleas. Tomar una o dos tazas de café o té antes de mediodía mejoran el humor.

9. Jamón: Es una fuente rica de vitamina B12. Como el ácido fólico, los niveles disminuidos de B12 se han ligado a la depresión. Se puede conseguir B12 también en almejas y ostras.

10. Carne de Pavo. Este alimento es bajo en grasas y es una fuente rica en tirosina, un aminoácido que estimula la producción dopamina y noradrenalina en el cerebro, causantes de un efecto vigorizante e incrementan la resistencia del organismo al estrés.
