Hoy es un día perfecto para empezar a cambiar tu vida!

De los 1.440 minutos que tiene un día, te propongo dedicar sólo 30 minutos para hacer actividad física. Si, con sólo 30 minutos diarios tu vida puede cambiar y Mejorar!!

Que te parece? Es una buena propuesta y vale la pena aprovecharla.

Cuantas veces dijeron “tengo que empezar a hacer algo, cualquier actividad física!”

Bueno HOY es ese día!! Un día perfecto de otoño, con la temperatura ideal para salir y hacer algo al aire libre.

Si tomáramos conciencia de los beneficios que nos aporta hacer aunque sea 30 minutos diarios de actividad física, sería maravilloso, habría gente con menos enfermedades, con más energía, con mejor humor y más felices.

El famoso Dr. K. H. Cooper dio una muy buena definición del ejercicio físico y es “el método para poner más años en su vida y más vida en sus años”. Una muy buena definición ya que la actividad física regular no sólo te hace sentir y verte mejor, también mantiene tu cuerpo saludable y te ayuda a prevenir enfermedades. No importa la edad que tengas, o tu estado físico, o tu peso, o si tenes alguna discapacidad, siempre hay un buen momento para empezar.

Sólo es cuestión de proponérselo y la clave es  encontrar la actividad que más nos guste así nos mantiene motivados.

Ir al gimnasio, salir a caminar, correr, andar en bici, remar, bailar, nadar, practicar artes marciales, jugar a algún deporte, hay miles de opciones. Solo tenés que elegir la que más te gusta y empezar!

Si pensas que vas a abandonar al 4 día, entonces buscate alguien con quien compartirlo, así lo vas a encontrar más entretenido y cuando vos tengas fiaca, tu amiga/o o profe te va a alentar para salir.

También hay muchos grupos de entrenamiento y es muy aconsejable a unirse a uno de ellos porque es la mejor manera de ser constantes. Pero ojo, si estuvieron mucho tiempo inactivos, empiecen despacio.

Es importante que se hagan un chequeo médico. No les digo antes de empezar a hacer algo porque entonces no van a empezar más! Pero si, ni bien puedan es muy importante hacerse los análisis para quedarse tranqui que este todo bien.

Hacer ejercicio físico te da felicidad y esta comprobado que es así. Cuando hacemos ejercicio se liberan las famosas endorfinas que son las hormonas de la felicidad y el placer. Por eso es que nos cambia el humor después de practicar cualquier deporte o simplemente de ir al gimnasio.

Aquí les paso una lista publicada en www.actividadfisica.net donde nos cuenta algunos de los tantos beneficios que nos brindan las actividades físicas. Seguramente después de leerla se van a poner las pilas y de una vez por todas se decidan y cambien la mentalidad. Les aseguro que no se van a arrepentir.

– Disminuye el riesgo de mortalidad por enfermedades cardiovasculares en general

– Previene y/o retrasa el desarrollo de hipertensión arterial, y disminuye los valores de tensión arterial en hipertensos.

– Mejora el perfil de los lípidos en sangre (reduce los triglicéridos y aumenta el colesterol HDL ).

– Mejora la regulación de la glucemia y disminuye el riesgo de padecer diabetes no insulin dependiente.

– Mejora la digestión y la regularidad del ritmo intestinal.

– Disminuye el riesgo de padecer ciertos tipos de cáncer, como el de colon, uno de los más frecuentes y sobre el que al parecer existe mayor evidencia.

– Incrementa la utilización de la grasa corporal y mejora el control del peso.

– Ayuda a mantener y mejorar la fuerza y la resistencia muscular, incrementando la capacidad funcional para realizar otras actividades físicas de la vida diaria.

– Ayuda a mantener la estructura y función de las articulaciones. La actividad física de intensidad moderada, como la recomendada con el fin de obtener beneficios para la salud, no produce daño articular y por el contrario puede ser beneficiosa para la artrosis .

– La actividad física y de forma especial aquella en la que se soporta peso, es esencial para el desarrollo normal del hueso durante la infancia y para alcanzar y mantener el pico de masa ósea en adultos jóvenes.

– Ayuda a conciliar y mejorar la calidad del sueño.

– Mejora la imagen personal y permite compartir una actividad con la familia y amigos.

– Ayuda a liberar tensiones y mejora el manejo del estrés.

– Ayuda a combatir y mejorar los síntomas de la ansiedad y la depresión, y aumenta el entusiasmo y el optimismo.

– Ayuda a establecer unos hábitos de vida cardiosaludables en los niños y combatir los factores (obesidad, hipertensión, hipercolesterolemia, etc.) que favorecen el desarrollo de enfermedades cardiovasculares en la edad adulta.

– En adultos de edad avanzada, disminuye el riesgo de caídas, ayuda a retrasar o prevenir las enfermedades crónicas y aquellas asociadas con el envejecimiento. De esta forma mejora su calidad de vida y aumenta su capacidad para vivir de forma independiente.

– Ayuda a controlar y mejorar la sintomatología y el pronóstico en numerosas enfermedades crónicas (Cardiopatía isquémica , Hipertensión arterial, Enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica, Obesidad, Diabetes Osteoporosis, etc.)

Bueno después de esto, seguro van a querer empezar a hacer algún deporte o actividad física y porque no hoy??
