Más allá de su pasado como modelo, se hizo conocida por convertirse en una de las primeras expertas en deportes extremos. Asociada con el riesgo y la aventura, dejó sus huellas en los programas 360 y en Instinto Animal, donde mostraba que el hombre podía superar los límites de lo conocido. Cuando no cumple su rol de mamá -o no mira la serie Lost con su marido-, le gusta correr maratones entre las montañas, los volcanes y la nieve.

-¿Cuál es el secreto para seguir corriendo tanto a los 52 años, sin morir en el intento?
-Es que nunca paré de entrenar y, a medida que pasa el tiempo, voy mejorando mi estado. Hoy en día me siento mucho mejor que a los 25. Me encantan los triatlones, hacer paracaidismo, los deportes extremos y acuáticos… En fin, me fascina la adrenalina y estar en contacto con la naturaleza.

-Entonces, ¿la aventura no es sólo del hombre?
-Seguro que no. Yo me he arriesgado a practicar de todo, incluso Bungee Jumping, desde donde me tiré de una grúa en San Francisco con la calle abajo. Además, soporto como una lady los efectos negativos que pueden traer estos deportes.

-¿De qué efectos me estás hablando?
-Y mirá, tengo ampollas en las manos de hacer windsurf y kayac, y moretones de caerme de la bici.

-¿La piel es la gran víctima al entrenar al aire libre?
-Sí. Por eso no voy a un dermatólogo, ya que estoy segura de que va a decir que tengo prohibido el sol. Pero prefiero pasarla bien y usar protector, que estar fijándome si me sale algún defecto en la cara. La vida hay que vivirla.

-¿No te preocupan las arrugas?
-La verdad es que no le tengo miedo al paso del tiempo.

-O sea que desterrás todo tipo de cirugías…
-En un futuro, si me veo muy mal quizás opte por un lifting. De todas maneras te confieso que a veces recurro a la toxina botulínica, pero me gustan más los métodos naturales, como hacerme aparatología en el rostro para favorecer la reactivación celular. También quiero hacerme peelings, pero no puedo porque me saldrían manchas al estar tanto tiempo bajo el sol.

-¿Qué comés antes de las maratones?
-Las semanas previas como de todo, para ir con varios kilos de más, porque durante los maratones bajo de peso. Para no adelgazar en exceso elijo carbohidratos y muchas frutas. Y en mi mochila, jamás faltan las golosinas, porque durante las carreras me agarran antojos de cosas dulces.

-¿Te llevás cremas para peinarte el pelo?
-No, porque las competencias a veces duran tres días, estás en el medio de las montañas y quizás ni te bañás.

-¿Y cómo hacés para dominarlo?
-Siempre me peino con dos trenzas. Eso sí, cuando no compito me hago baños de crema y utilizo ampollas nutritivas para cuidármelo.

-¿Qué le recomendás a esas mujeres que sólo se mueven para ir a la heladera?
-Que empiecen a hacer actividad física ¡ya!. A medida que pasan los años es más importante hacer ejercicios porque se te atrofian los músculos y te empiezan a doler los huesos. El deporte ayuda a combatir esos problemas y cambia la cabeza. Sin dudas, es la mejor arma para mejorar el estilo de vida y para estar de buen humor.
