Cuánta agua tomás por día?

 

Todos sabemos que tenemos que tomar entre 2 o 3 litros de agua por día, pero pocos sabemos por qué y que nos pasa si tomamos menos.

Por eso hoy voy a hablarles sobre hidratación.

Cada día perdemos entre 2 y 3 litros de líquido y el cuerpo es incapaz de producirla por sí solo. Si no la reponemos, nos deshidratamos y hasta ponemos en riesgo nuestra salud.

Si tomamos la cantidad de agua necesaria por día, además de sacarnos la sed, nos ayuda a mantener la temperatura corporal, regula el buen funcionamiento de las células transportando sus nutrientes, ayuda a que tengamos bien las articulaciones mejorando su lubricación, facilita la eliminación de toxinas y productos de deshechos a través de la orina y mejora la hidratación corporal.

Cada persona tiene una  necesidad específica de hidratación dependiendo de la edad, el sexo, actividad y en que clima se encuentra.

Que nos pasa cuando estamos deshidratados?

Con la deshidratación se pierden también sales minerales, sodio y potasio. Esto hace que se produzcan desequilibrios en el organismo y el primer órgano en notar estas carencias es el corazón.

La deshidratación puede provocar dolor de cabeza, dificultad de concentración, malestar general, calambres musculares, sensación de nausea, cansancio, aumento del ritmo cardíaco, etc. Además, puede afectar negativamente a las funciones físicas y mentales y empeorar algunas enfermedades e incluso puede generar enfermedades cardiovasculares, osteoporosis y hasta algunos tipos de cáncer como el de colon.

La sensación de boca seca, orina oscura o mareos son los síntomas habituales de la deshidratación.

La hidratación con agua mineral natural es importante en invierno, porque ayuda a prevenir y a superar enfermedades típicas de esta estación, como gripes y resfríos.

Para las personas sanas y dependiendo de la edad y de la actividad física, además de agua, es aconsejable consumir infusiones, refrescos, jugos, lácteos, caldos y aguas saborizadas.

En el caso de los deportistas, es fundamental una buena hidratación antes, durante y después de la actividad física. Al deshidratamos, la cantidad de sangre que circula por el cuerpo es menor, disminuyendo la sangre que se bombea en cada latido y como consecuencia, los músculos no reciben el oxigeno suficiente provocando cansancio muscular, reduciendo el rendimiento físico y la resistencia y favoreciendo la aparición de calambres.

Esta comprobado que una buena hidratación aumenta un 10% el rendimiento físico.

El agua mineral constituye una forma muy natural para reponer la cantidad de agua que nos hace falta, ya que se trata de un producto totalmente puro que aporta minerales esenciales. De hecho, 2 litros de agua mineral natural al día aportan más de 20 minerales y oligoelementos y cubren entre el 5 y el 8 % de las necesidades diarias.

Según expertos médicos, con la edad aumenta considerablemente el riesgo de deshidratación porque las personas sienten menos sed y no toman la cantidad de líquidos recomendables.

No hay que esperar a tener sed para hidratarse. Esto es fundamental especialmente para los que hacen deportes, porque cuando se siente sed, el cuerpo ya esta deshidratado y cuesta más recuperarse

En definitiva, una correcta hidratación es imprescindible para que nuestro cuerpo funcione adecuadamente.
